    Hi Midge,

Its not an issue with his abilities, even though he left Denasar out of the first two tests ostensibly because he wanted his county teammates playing and yes, there's no comparison between their almost loss in the UK and they way they are being beaten by a superior opponent this time. England has a history of changing their captains more often than their underwear. In this case they needed St. George to lead the charge and Freddie it was that got the Guernsey. Great player he is, disposable captain he has become. I guess he felt, "Make hay while the sun shines."
He made mistakes, but what time has he had to learn?

    Rob

Gotta ask some questions about Denasar.

If the make a DVD of his performance in this test, will it be Monty Video?

If he gets hit while batting is that Montysorri?

Is his arm ball called the Montyzuma?

If hes's hit around the ground all over and on the last ball takes a wicket with his arm ball is that Montyzuma's revenge?

I'll take my meds now. Good night nurse!

As much as I hate to say it, Monty is a very good bowler.

I agree. And he's good for the game. Much better than your usual Pommy stuff shirt.

And what a game it has turned out to be, I hope the Poms give us a chase so it turns out to be a really good game, I want us to win of course..

    Panesar is a good bowler.

What's more, he doesn't throw the ball which is more than can be said for somebody whose initials are MM.

Also, I didn't think his fielding was that bad. Plus, he and Harmy top scored with the bat.

    Yet Fletcher prefers Giles. Why?

That's not quite true from the discussions I've heard. Fletcher took the heat but it was Flintoff who wanted his mate Giles instead of Monty.
