Bob is under the pump here. Huss is the boy though. While he's there, we have a chance of making 300 +, which we need to make a game of it.

Last time I saw Gumby he wanted to give me the tip. I declined.

Not a bad last wicket partnership. 40 runs for the 10 and 11 pair. Highest partnership of the innings.

Well we have one and a half hands on the Ashes.
It would take a freakin' miracle for the Poms to win this game from here and contrary to pommy belief Freddie Flintstone does not walk on water.

Which has been abundantly illustrated over the past month.

Now the Aussies have to go for 5 nil.

    .

I'm feeling a little sorry for Freddie. He's really an Aussie you know (like Botham), and it must be frustrating to be in the wrong team.

I was feeling a bit sorry for Freddie, but then I thought (particularly after seeing Denesar's efforts) that once again England had failed to utilise their resources with forsight and ingenuity, in the face of a foe who is known for exactly this trait. Freddie tried, but not hard enough and once again England shall snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. (Just like Adelaide.) Freddie is the public face of this fracas and as we all know, the poms do not like to lose.

Nothing really, it's just that he was feted as almost singlehandedly winning the ashes in England, and now he's at the helm of what looks to be their loss. He does look just a little lost as a captain. If England loses the ashes the press over there will crucify him.

Too much pressure on him. Botham was the same as captain, remember?

    I saw the knives out,
    I turned my back.

There's no such thing as a free lunch. He cares for his family and needed the extra $$, but from the word go, he was a sacrifical lamb.

    What a lot of nonsense.

If they hadn't underestimated the opposition, if they hadn't all realised they were awarded an MBE on the strength of a series win by two wickets, (yes, I remember the second test last year), if they hadn't built him up..... well if they'd won, he'd be a hero for playing the same way as he is at the moment.

    cheers,

    P

Glenn McGrath offered to move to England to help out with learning how to win again butEngland refused stating that they did not need another all rounder.

The only Englishman with 100 against his name is a bowler.

I wonder why Troy Cooley didn't get an MBE  .

    Gee, what a surprise

He can't be picked again. Way too risky.
