I have to say that Test match Cricket hasn't been the same since they started covering the pitch overnight during a match.

What has happened at the WACA? Is it that stupid game they play in winter that's caused the monster change to the pitch?

I read in the paper yesterday that the curator is saying that the test strip (#4 strip apparently) will play more like a traditional Perth wicket. Lets hope so.

One of the great sites in cricket is a fast bowler steaming in and getting the ball to lift off a good length. If Strauss is still opening it'll be interesting to see how he handles a bit of Brett Lee "chin music".

Yes, I think they play that stupid winter sport Rugby on the WACA. The excellent, fast moving, exciting AFL is played only on Subiaco oval.
