    Default OH&S tickets

I was told by someone today that my OH&S tickets may have lapsed or expired, if I haven't transferred them in some way.

I have a number of O.H.S certificates/tickets from when I was working in my trade, these were issued from 1999 to 2005, and even crane operator tickets dating back as far as 1990.
I looked at them all today, there are no expiry dates on them.

Has anyone heard anything along these lines.

While I am not using these tickets at the moment, they could be handy in the near future, and I would hate to lose them.
    Brad.

    Default High Risk Licences

You are correct. Non-photographic high risk work certificates are not valid after 30 June

They will need to be converted to the new photographic licence. After June 30 the old licence is no longer valid and you would need to complete the relevant training to be able to carry out the classification of work. Keep in mind some previously designated high risk work was removed from the licencing regime with the harmonisation of safety legislation, so you may have OHS tickets that won't need converting.

To convert your licence, visit a Post Office with your old style certificate, a passport photo and 100 points for identification. A $70 fee applies.

The web site to visit is www.worksafe.qld.gov.au

(I have paraphrased this information from an advertisement from the Courier Mail on June 5 2014. I also hav the job of getting the company I work for compliant by this date...)

    Default

Thanks for that Jaksam. I will have to see which ones I need to convert over , luckily I still have some time.
Some of the tickets I have, I probably wouldn't have the chance to ever get them again, for example "Non slewing mobil crane with cap. more than 3T" (think Franna crane)

I wonder how many others will get caught out with this.
