The internal dimensions need to be at least 70x45. It needs to be only about 50mm long. Ideal wall thickness is probably 1.5mm. These dimensions can vary a bit. Basically, it just needs to be able to fit a GoPro clone, preferably fairly tightly.

I’ve looked in Bunnings etc but not found anything suitable. A few places will sell me 3meter lengths but I’m too parsimonious to buy that when I need only 60mm.

In case you’re wondering, I need this to make a deep water GoPro housing. I occasionally do some drop-camera underwater photography, and would like to get down deeper where the bigger fish roam. You can see a video of mine here.

Another issue is that I have limited facility to machine steel, so if I could get it cut perfectly square on at least one end, but preferably both, then it will save me a lot of work.

So anyone know where I can purchase such a thing.

I can help you with this, I have 75x75x4, or 75 x 100 x 4. And there will be other sizes if I really look hard. I can weld a plate on one end or whatever. I’m sending a PM with my number.
