    Wrong

    It's half twice it's length

A good question all the same. How many people ask you to make a book case that is a good height not too wide but tall enough to take all their books?

How do you know it isn't 3,405mm wide and only a few mm long?

    Damn Skew ChiDAMN!! DAMN!!

I just remeasured it and you are correct. Sneaky bit of string turned sideways. OK, a piece of string is now EXACTLY 3.792mm long by 3,405 mm wide.
