    Default Pressure cleaner PSI?

Yeah I know it's a bit off topic but I am sure there's someone here who knows.
I'm looking at buying a pressure cleaner mainly to wash down a cattle truck when the tray floor is about 2 inches deep in brown stuff and the inside walls of the cattle crate are plastered with same.

I've never used a pressure cleaner before so I'm not sure what PSI rating would be powerful enough. I'm looking at a Honda powered Karcher(No electricity available) which is rated at 2500PSI. Enough do you think?

    Thanks

    Dave

We have a 3000psi 15l/min powered by a 13hp honda engine.. It does an OK job.. 2500psi would also be adequate as ours was running at this pressure until recently when I replaced the tip (A worn tip gives you less pressure)

If you have lots of poo in the crate high volume water will shift it better then high pressure...Then after you get most of it out, then switch to the high pressure cleaner to do the sides..

2500 psi sounds ok for the job, you can get turbo heads for them as well which are like having a higher pressure unit.
Remember these things will pull off paint and all.
The nephew has a 3000 psi turbo one for roofing and he said it will pull of skin.

I just bought similar to what you are looking at and at 2500 it took some of the colour off the top of the concrete when I first used it too close (used to a little electric Karcher previously). Kincrome have just released one (three actually) and they're well priced at the moment, may be worth looking at. They make good tools but still no guarantee. I looked at the Karcher and saved $200 buying the Repco own brand one instead and regret it already (quality of hose, starting etc). Should have gone with the Honda.

Thanks for the input fellas! Looks like the little Karcher will be a goer.
