Yes, they certainly whipped our butts. It's like they have another player on the field when they play up there.

It was a great comeback, and thankfully it makes the third match something to watch!

Was a close game really. The result could go either way. Have we scored 10 more tries we would have won.

being a newsouthwelshman im a tad sorry we lost, but i'm glad the qld'ers won both for the sake of a decider and because id hate for the series to be devalued if one of the teams becomes so good over time and the balance is all wrong.. ie Australia crushes tonga, again.

It was a ripper game, I can't say I was sorry to be there, notwithstanding the amount of power used to generate all that light.

Two questions arise:

After the match, the groundsmen were out with pressure blasters washing off the advertising signs. How could they do that when there are full-on no hoses to be used water restrictions on?

Question 2:

I don't think there was a time during the game when NSW didn't have at least one trainer on the ground talking, running, geeing up players. Qld's trainer seemed to be there sporadically to put band-aids on cuts and generally kiss the boys better when they fell over, but from the Blue corner it seemed like full time coaching going on.

What was that about? Can't the blokes remember simple instructions for more than a few minutes? Why is it allowed? It's getting all very American sadly.

The use of pressurised water is allowed for businesses, but not for washing cars, watering lawns, etc and so on without a recycling system. As Suncorp is a thoroughly modern plug-in-turf arrangement, perhaps they have a water collection system as well? In my own case, we consume about 1500l of water a week in dust-suppression, spraying down the log pile, etc, which is all fine and dandy as far as the council is concerned.
