Talking Ready to burst with happiness

Got a good Jet Star Australia Day deal and am flying down to Adelaide 16 March for my grand daughter's birthday on the 20th
She thinks it will be her most awesome birthday ever.
Got another good deal and we are both flying down end of May for her wedding.
She has asked me to give her away.
Found out her stepdaughter is sharing a birthday with me 1st February. I'll be 75 and she will be 6.
Any wonder I am ready to burst?
Every day is better than yesterday

    Cheers
    SAISAY

That's wonderful Saisay. Some people just don't understand what family is all about.

    Congrats!
Isn't it great to to be able to do things that mean so much AND at a deal?
You're going to get to see birthdays AND your grand daughter's wedding without having to slash the budget all over the place. YAY!
I know I'd be able to enjoy myself a lot more knowing it wasn't going to hurt later. I bet it's a weight off your family's mind too. They get to see you without worrying about financial repercussions to you.

My family's a little weird this way. We'll leave pricetags on a gift (depends on the person) if we got a great price on it. We're all so frugal that if we get something we need AND the person giving it got a deal, it's like a second gift! If the deal was particularly spectacular, then of course we have to share where we got it from so everybody has a new frugal source.

At times the value in a gift is it usefulness rather than its monetary value.
When I got married a friend gave us a $20 gift voucher which we used to buy a wall clock which we looked at for over twenty years. (Unfortunately it has stopped working.) Other gifts included dinner sets we never used and ornaments which are in the cupboard.
