    Clue 1 - the picture attached is the lead singer of a "super group" that rose to fame in the 70's - who is he?. Sorry no prize as I am still unemployed.

    I assume you meant The Sweet?. Unfortunately the lead singer - Brian Connolly (aged 52) died in 1997. The other co-founder of the group - Michael Tucker (aged 54) died 5 years later.

    I fear that Metal Head's definition of "super group" and mine will prove to be poles apart so I'm heading down the wrong track. :confused:

    Hi Duckman,

    I placed super group in "inverted commers" because they are in some people's eyes (critics) a "super group":confused:. Yes he is still alive although by the picture he is only just.

    Time for another clue given no one has come near to getting it

    The band has developed a loyal following and another member of the group who's off-stage antics (which has included a few marriages and a heart attack in his mid 20's) have ensured they have never dropped out of the public eye.

    Btw, the picture was taken in the past fortnight.
