Alex, please excuse my ignorance, but what are they, where from and what do they taste like? I always like to expand my horizons where booze is concerned.

I'll have a pot of sars to take the edge off.

Then a few frothy ones to be sociable.

A kahlua & milk would be nice when we settle down the BS & start talking about sharpening & jig ideas.

    Dis is makin' me thoisty..........

Rum Negrita & Orange juice, Pat.

In PNG, Rum Negrita is commonly called Buka Meri because of the picture of the black-skinned lady on the label. Buka is a place in Bougainville, and the Bougainvilleans have reputedly the blackest skin of any people in the world. Meri is Pidgin for woman, tenku is Pigin for thank you, and boi is pidgin for local man. Meri & boi are now considered by some to be derogatory.

It was a popular drink in PNG, because you could have a long refreshing drink of orange juice, with a fair slog of BM to repel the mosquitos and prevent malaria.
