I'm testing this out at my house in the hills, only have 128K ISDN up here.

Search function doesn't seem to work as well as it did in Cairns.

Well it works on ISDN just fine, had a 10 minute call to Groggy with out a problem.

Gotta go to a meeting now.

Cliff is using it on ISDN so you don't need broadband

It even worked fine at 64Kb 'cos I took a regular phone call on the main line while I was online to Groggy & the NTU drops back to half speed.
Groggy said he could hear me fine when I spoke to the other party.

I used it when I was in Germany over a dial up connection using the laptop and spoke to the missus each day, no problems.

Top effort that, toll free roaming ISP account, free phone calls back home. Checking the work emails of course

You can already see if a forum member is on line in the forum by the little green dot on the left of each post. And with Skype if any one in your contacts list logs on a window pops up and says "so and so has just logged on" and if you want somebody on your list you just invite them to give permission.

What I tried to get across was that if you saw the green dot and their 'callsign' it would be a simple matter of just calling them, instead of searching for an unknown name in skype, then PMing them to get it.
