    Default Great Southern Swap Meet

    It's that time of the year again, when the swap meet to end all swap meets is on (so they say)

    Friday Saturday.Sunday at the Ballarat Airport.
    Well worth a look if your into this kind of thing

    last I heard it was bigger. Went the first couple of years (Then my folks got kicked out, don't ask). Haven' t been bothered since. The accomodation wasnt great. Though I don't miss a Bendigo. Have only missed one. That was the first one and we were in Queensland for a rally at the time
    I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

    Gras folks are into the KKK in a big way, it gets to be a problem at the swap meet bbq when its their turn to cook.

    They cant see what they are doing and the meat at the meet gets over done.

    Nah, politics I believe. We had a really good site right near the food vans on the main walkway from an entry point. We got told we didn't Have enough car stuff on our site. Our site was subsequently taken by what we believe to be a committee member. Of course we cant prove anything, but the guy three doors up, that had no car stuff didnt get kicked out.

    Such is life, they lost 6 entries directly over that, and a number of our friends have not bothered since..

    I will stick with Bendigo I think, there is too much modern stuff there anyway. All of the vintage stuff is hidden in old guys garages now, waiting for them to die. and Hell we don't need any more @#$%, we dont have the room to store it..
