    Default Is There a Time Out On This Site?

    Hi,

    I am !xihn" mad:mad: :mad: atm as the result of having just wrote a 30 minute reply to this query

    only to find that when I clicked on the "submit New Thread" button the site disappeared. This is not the first time it has happened recently.

    Therefore I wish to know if there is a time restriction on how long you can write for or the length of a post?

    Sorry Vlad but I haven't the time to write it again.

    Nah, it's just you.

    Here's a tip, next time you write a post, befor you hit submit, highlight all the text and hit CTRL+C. That way, if you do lose the post you can re-submit it by opening a new "reply to" window and hitting CTRL+V

    But I think there was a hiccup earlier today, the same happened on a thread I was posting.
    Even my server went funny on me asking for passwords and messing about.

    You may also like to set your email program to check your email once a minute. This can stop some timeouts as the connection is obviously still busy.
