One of the problems with work sites is access and parking. Leaving your tools on a work site overnight presents a risk of theft, however many sites provide little or no parking for the tradies who may have little choice but to move their many essential tools from work vehicle to site and back each day.
I have seen staff arrive on site on skate boards or bike, the hoverboard (until it goes up in flames) is novel.

The saw and the final car scene are the best.

That will be another $30 per hour on the rate.

Overseas I have seen police on Segways, so the idea is perhaps not as new as first thought.

Doesn't matter how they travel to work....they'll continue to arrive late or not at all.

Great idea, will certainly help them to and from the pub and sandwich van at lunchtime
Suspect no improvement on the quality of the job though.
