Unwanted links
Has anyone noticed in the last week that they are getting unwanted tabs opening in their browser, when clicking on legitimate links, and the tab is titled "offer" and how do you stop it other than closing the tab.
I am using adblock but it doesn't seem to make any difference
I am using FirefoxThe person who never made a mistake never made anything
Cheers

That sounds like you've (or someone else who uses your PC) picked up some malware, possibly from a bundled installer that 'includes exciting offers from our partners'. I found the ASK toolbar installers so prevalent and annoying that I went to the trouble of blocking all ASK domains at the router.

G'Day Ray,
I had a similar issue a few days ago and found it was a thing called "BatBrowse"...
I am using windows 7 & firefox and killed it thru the "tools" tab then into "add-on" and extensions....it was hiding in there and all I had to do was disable and remove it.
NO MORE annoying advertisements......
I hope that's clear.
Cheers, crowie
