urban myths
Most of us know (and have believed) a few urban myths..
some have a sprinkle of truth,.. some not...
My favorite used to be the "Drill bit" one...
The way I heard it... An American toolmaking company (back in the 50's)
proud of having manufactured the smallest drill bit ever, sent a sample to a Japanese manufacturer...who promptly returned it....with a tiny bolt drilled and tapped in it's end ...
.However ,I just heard a new one that tickled me
During WW2, American company Lend Lease supplied huge quantities of stuff to our allies USSR (warm clothes, trains, guns, etc etc)........one of their requests was for condoms.... (it must have been a blokey thing) but the Russians requested condoms 10 inches long ....The Americans (being an obliging lot) had them manufactured and sent .....
packaged in boxes stamped........small...
anyone got any others?
what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?
