    Default Video's to CD's.

    Hi to you all,
Have been given a heap of the older Tape Video's.
I wood like to find some place in Vic. where I could get them put on to CD'S.
Most of what I have seen on Google are very expensive.
    Is there another option ???
They are all in good nick, some never opened.
    Regards,
    issatree.

    this mob can do it.

Most kids with a computer can do it as well.

Or buy a video and dvd burner combo machine and do it yourself.

You don't need a computer. A working video player connected to a DVD recorder. I transferred my personal video tapes to my DVD/Hard Disk recorder several at a time then burnt to disk after I sorted through them.

Having a Hard Disk recorder already helped of course but it's much faster than digitizing to computer.

Something like this might even be want you want if it allows VCR to DVD recording.

    Assuming you mean VHS tape.

Aldi has them on special a few times during the year where you can transfer them to your computer and then burn them to a dvd. Last time I saw them on special they were, from memory, about $ 69.

See if you can find 'em on Bittorrent - that way someone has already done the reencoding for you, possibly from a higher resolution source.

There is a business in both Castlemaine and Bendigo - maybe other places, because it has a franchise 'look' about it - called 'Stuff2Disk' have look in the yellow pages (on line) for them. No idea what they charge.

    Hi All,
Well, thank you for all your help.
Bittorrent happened to be in Germany.
Stuff2Disc, is in Bendigo & should be in Castlemaine, Vic.
Have Rellies in both places, so will get them to look them up.
Don't have either Machine, but we think we maybe able to get a lend of both.
We have 14 Video's, all with different times of Play.
3 of British Comedy. 8 of The World at War???. The rest are good Movies.
    Will reply when something happens.
    Thanks again.
    Regards,
    issatree.

I think you missed the point with bittorrent you don't go there, you download whatever movies or TV shows or software or whatever using their download software - and give your tapes to the Salvos...

I know that my torrent client will be getting a hammering on April 6 (new season of Game of Thrones). I'm only writing this as I'm waiting for The Walking Dead to finish downloading...

But if you are into the World at War series...

You're wasting your time guys, Lewis has enough trouble loading a image to WWF, let alone trying to install and download torrents, so unless you're there holding his hand and guiding him through every step, you're much better off recommending him a store front where he can drop the vids off and pick the discs up in a week or so.
    Cheers
