Where to get small castors
I am in the process of designing a few jigs to use on my triton WC 2000. I am going to "borrow" several of the ideas that niki and others have shown us over the past few months - especially using castors.
For the first jig I want to build, I want to use 25mm (ie 1") fixed castors. Does anyone know where to get these (my Bunnies and Mitre 10 don't seem to carry fixed castors this small)?Cheers
Jeremy

Try Supercheap, they have a good range of cheap castors.
BobTDon't argue with idiots, they only drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Buy some sealed bearings that are 25mm in dia and some aluminium c section bung a bolt through "Bobs yer uncle"
Can you use 22mm, as skateboard bearings are cheap, can be had on ebay for $10~15 a set of 8.
Bearings will outlast castors easily.....................................................................

I usually get mine from the market, hardware stall. Bunnings is 3 times the price.
Reality is no background music.

Total Tools Brookvale, in Sydney, have a good selection at a fraction of Bunnies prices. I used 75mm grey rubber wheels on my WC2K. They cost $9 each, including a brake.

Yes I can confirm at TT Brookvale I bought 4 @$9 and they were about 70-75 mm diam and had a foot brake. TT had a separate catalogue that I picked up from the counter and they offred every conceivable size and type of castor wheel.

Cheers thanks for that Ill have a grumble at them tomorrow, but I like Ray at Elraco and think I'll go there.
Iam making a metal mobile trolley for my jointer, would I be right it assuming that the weight would be spread over the 4 corners therefore should be OK for castors rated at 40kg each. Yikes does that make sense?I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

Yes you assume correct, but be better to rate them on 2 diagonally... a floor isn't always flat!
Ray does have heavier rating ones there.....................................................................
