Knife
Not specifically a wood working tool but a hand made tool non the less.
Forged out of a crowbar which is hard work by hand.
This is my first real knife and attempt at doing any filework. I had a go at three different patterns and I made it more difficult than it needed to be by using a wobbly vice and whatever blunt crappy files were at hand.
Now I need to find some nice timber for the scales to handle it and sharpen it up.…..Live a Quiet Life & Work with your Hands

Nice one Dale.
That looks very nice [emoji106][emoji106][emoji3][emoji3]
And may I say a man after my own tastes.
Love how you have carved the back.
Any idea on what sort of timber your hunting for??

A hardwood with some figure. Ringed gidgee is always my favourite, but bullock, sheoak, even some curly red gum would work.

DJ, it won't need much. 2 pieces 150x35x10mm. If your coming past, or I can come out to you as I haven't seen your shed yet.

Me thinks that Dale is a very happy boy, he ended up choosing the fiddleback yellow box and who wouldn't, it's magical figure.
Back of his car might have also been a bit heavier, I certainly saw it drop when I put the block of wood in that he'll mount his anvil on, block was about 400x300x600mm long sugargum with no heart in it. Didn't get a pic of it but I'm sure that Dale will put one up.Cheers
