Thread: leigh d4r imperial / metric?........

I think you should have posted this in the router thread as it involves routers and the jig used with them, however, I have the same jig in imperial and have no problem thinking in metric but dovetailing in imperial. I got all the cutters from Leigh and it really is no problem. I went through the instructions and converted all the measurements to metric. I keep a copy of the Leigh chart for the bits and choose what I want for my dovetails based on timber size.You are setting up the jig with your timber already in the jig and you can see where you are going to cut and the depth of cut regardless of imperial or metric.
