I don't know how much i really need this, but it's been on my to-do list and today it jumped to the top for some reason.

Nice job on the knife. I have made a few over the years after one that I bought had the blade break out of the handle. Tang was only about 12mm into the handle and no ferrule. Old spade bits make a good solid job as the drill shank makes a tang as long as you like. My current favourite is made from an old chisel that was too worn down to be used. I like a good hefty one.
For such a simple tool I dont know why more people dont make them.
    Regards
    John
