Mobile Tool Stand MK 1.
Further to my Post on my Mobile Garden Tool Stand I thought I would also attach photo's of my Mobile Tool Stand MK 1. This version was in fact my first attempt at making a mobile stand out of the base of mobile office chairs.
This model was to provide a mobile base for a stand to support for Air Splitter for my
Saw Dust system to allow me to run one or a pair of various flexible air lines using 100mm or 75mm flexible lines.
The construction consists of the 5 star legs with the stub 50mm vertical post, the rest of the chair seat and back was discarded. I then attached a length of 4 inch PVC pipe to act as the main vertical support with a sleeve so that I could attack a 2 way 4 inch PVC junction piece slightly adapted so that it had an additional male cuppling leg fitted.
The result is as displayed in the photo's.
As a further adaption I have shown a removable table top which is attached by the fitting of a male spigot piece fixed to the underside of the top.
Another recycle job to the list.
All I have to do now is find a use for the rest of the metal work from the chair adjustment gear , this consists of a nice piece of 20mm steel rod about 250 long with a thread cut into it, also the chairs comes with a range of metal handles or turn knobs for tightening the adjustment. I can see these coming in use for turn knobs for a number of uses such as for adjustable stops on fences to saw benches etc.
Waste not want not.
Best wishes for Xmas to everyone.

Interesting.
Bolted my chair to the wall to make viewing some of the pics easier.www.lockwoodcanvas.com.au
I will never be the person who has everything, not when someone keeps inventing so much cool new stuff to buy.
From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".
