Default Mortise cutting jig – the lazy bugger version

I finally had to cut some mortises and I did not want to spend heaps of time to make a fancy jig. I thought about it on the way home from work (OK at work too) and came up this jig.

It took me only a couple of hours in the shop to make. It takes a few simple steps and you can really cut your mortises in a hurry.

Shouldn't it be "wots wong wif dat"
Is there anything easier done than said?

The mortises look great. I wouldn't want to stuff 'em with tenons.

    Scott,

You must have missed this thread: http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...ead.php?t=9853 . This lite version of my jig uses the router's own micro-adjustable edge guide, and a couple of shop-made T-squares with glued on scales to yield almost the precision of the Rocker jig proper. However, I was more tactful than you about characterising the type of clientele for whom the jig was designed. A few lazy b*****s have requested plans. Others can get them if the PM me their e-mail address.
