    Default Panel gluing aids

    G’day Mates

I would like to share with you some aids (not HIV), that I made to help me with panel gluing.
As most of us are working “solo”, it gives kind of third hand that we miss sometimes.

All the rest is on the pictures.

    Regards

    Hi Niki,

Looks good! I must admit that, whilst I do find myself making up panels quite often, I ten to just use cauls, a waxed flat surface and plenty of clamps. Sometimes I router in a tongue & groove joint, sometimes I just use face glued fabrication after having jointed the elements. Here are some that I made last weekend http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...3&d=1144491620 In fact I have a couple of panels curing in the shed right now. Ready for a final plane, trim and fit tomorow.

    Thank you so much

Sorry for the late reply, but the forum was inaccessible for a few hours (maintenance?).

Stive, are you trying to tell me “niki, its about time to change your laptop 13”, windows 98 to some good XP 19” screen”, Mate, I had to scroll up & down, left & right to see all the picture, but, very nice (and big) panel gluing.
Planer is not for me, I’m just very bad with planer, instead, I take a 1m board stick on it sanding paper and sand with #60, 80, 100, 150 and than 220 and 400 with electric sander.

    Thanks for the kind words.
I cannot take credit for all the jigs and fixtures that I made, as they say, the wheel was already invented, I probably saw some of them in books, magazines and Internet. I just modified and simplified them to my ability and resources, you can see how simple materials and hardware I’m using, yes, amatorski (Polish-amateure).
