Plans for a jointer from an electric plane..?
Hey all you fantastic ingenious woodies, I just saw the depth stop for SCMS - thanks very much John G.
I was wondering if anyone out there could help me out with a twinkleing of an idea I have...?
I've got two electric planes and am continually frustrated by the need to join peices of timber - admittedly I am a cheapskate, and also don't do a heck of a lot of joining boards so buying a jointer is not an option. (Also don't have a router table to use)
My idea was to mount one of the planes so it's long axis is horizontal and the base of the plane is perpendicular to the surface the timber will pass over.
Everyone still with me...?
Well if anyone can add to this very basic idea it would be great.I love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!
Allan.
