quick and easy clamp racks
Just a couple of pictures of some clamp racks I knocked up.Can't claim credit for the design tho as they came out of australiam woodsmith #29.
I find they seem to work really well and didn't cost anything to make as its all offcuts.AW also has a plan for a mobile trolly to attach them to but I havn't got that far yet.
Enjoy Kiwibrucee

I think you've got a winner there. Normally you get a choice of well-made, fast or cheap - pick any two.
These can be all three.

Nice one Bruce: I guess there'll be a bit of copying happening at the Home of the Biting Midge shortly!! (Watch my "Playroom" thread in a few weeks once this one has been forgotten for when I claim they were my idea!!!)
Out of interest, here's how I rack my sash clamps. A bit of pine, a rebate and two bits taken out for each clamp, sort of like a custom made hook.
I just haven't been able to invent anything as simple for the G clamps yet!
cheers,
P

Very good. Any ideas for some Bessey clmaps? Don't tell anyone but I found this really good deal and are expecting delivery of some in a few weeks.
Boring signature time again!

Groggy's rack...
As KiwiBrucee has dobbed in my little rack, here it is. It's scrap pine, a few screws and about 20 mins work, including the beeswax/turps/BLO finish. The clamps are Quick Grip type with a small pin in the shaft at rear.
Currently looking for ideas for Bessey storage (assuming I have a secret supply coming too) is a crystal display case over the top?
No questions please, I've shown you my 'rack' and you can see how they're hangin'....Last edited by Groggy; 13th March 2005 at 04:07 PM. Reason: better piccies

I be posting more pic of my clamp wall whem finished in my "shed" post.JunkBoy999

Bessey K-body rack
Here's a little thing I made for all the K-bodies I hope to have in a little while.
I have piers in my brick wall in the garage, otherwise I'd have packed it out about 60mm from the wall....
There's a plausible explanation as to why I have a french-polished myrtle clamp rack, but I'm not telling.
