Rebate plane
Here's a another plane I made, again from some gnarly old Eucalypt, spotted gum I think. It cuts a trench aapprox 15mm wide, at a set distance from the edge of a board, which is why the fence is fitted. The blade is spring steel as usual. It works OK, well it cut into red cedar fine, if thats a test!
Cheers,Andy Mac

Nice work. I've been meaning to make a plane for a while but always seem to have too many other projects to do.
Where do you get your spring steel?

Hi Andy!
Looks a very nice plane. One Q: though (although maybe it's just a parallax effect from the photo), but the sole looks somewhat longitudinally curved?
