Thanks BB,
that's just what I need for my lathe speed modification.
Should I PM you my address so you can send it to me?
I guess if I copy it no one will know...

Thanks BB, I was only joking.
Your setup looks a lot neater than my current temporary fix.

Finished and working. I think it turned out to be a very usable tool.

Nice job BB!
I like the big table, and the chuck should prove very handy.

I have a cover for the pulleys at the top to stop too much dust getting in the bearings, which are grease packed. These Plummers Blocks are as old as 'Old Harry', and that is fairly old, I believe.
The sliding hinge works perfectly when I change pulleys, although it looks like I will be using the 4 inch pulley on 120 grit paper for most of my sanding jobs.
I was looking at a right angle drill attachment to put in the chuck for drum sanding, still cogitating on that one.
The belt slips with a lot of pressure on the sanding disc, but it is a new belt, and the bottom pulley is 2 inch. Things will improve with the belt softening up a bit, or I will have to hang a railway sleeper on the motor mount, well maybe not a full sleeper!!!!!!
