    Default Scratch Awl

I finally got sick of hunting for a sharp nail whenever I wanted to mark something, and decided to do something about it. Sharpened a screwdriver and turned a small handle from a branch. The ferrule is part of a pipe fitting. About 6" long.

    Default The Awl.

    Hi SJM,
Yes, I like making those as well.
I found, some rather stiff wire, hard as all get out, & very hard to bend.
The Knob I Make is a little different, as I make it a bit longer, & they work very well.
Yours is very nice. I will have to have another go at putting Photos on here again.
    Regards,
    issatree.

When we do get sick of the ordinary we normally create or go out and purchase something. Good work.
