Ok with the kick up the behind,

I got back in to the plane late afternoon after work, and it felt good.

So, the blade support is well underway,it’s only one piece out of the jigsaw, but it was nice to be at it again.
Still lots of filing to go,and I may add to it( The add do it, is with the first concept design team at present).

Watch this space, from comfortable seat, with a beverage.

    Cheers Matt.

Today was a fire and brimstone day,

Thank you too the gods who gave us oxygen acetylene welding heating equipment.

With a little heat an some charred Red Gum we have the Three pieces that for now an eternity are one.

Unfortunately tho a couple of the tendons didn’t completely fill there mortises[emoji20].

But maybe I can cheat later and fill them up a bit.[emoji6]

    Cheers Matt.

    Paul,
Just some collateral damage, but thankfully for me, but not the Red gum, it was always going to be that way.

    Cheers Matt.

I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

    Thanks Doug,
But no need, the Red gum was just the peeing block,

    It’s now toasted [emoji6].

The Norfolk pine is the infill material.

    Cheers Matt.

In my experi….. um… I’ve heard that when the words “peeing” and “fire” are in close proximity they’re usually followed by the word “penicillin”.

I needed to use some heat, too help the tenons a little bit, it also helped to annal the brass a little bit.
It just made the process a little easier on my little arms.

    Cheers Matt.

For those concerned about my Tote, being fragile, me include.

May I present the Rib, the central structure that I hope, in the event the Squirrel plane attempts to try out gravity.
Will stop me from being a blabbering mass in the corner.

Ye ye I know it’s not much, but I’ve been busy[emoji6].

    Cheers Matt.

If all goes belly up, I found some tasty looking squirrel recipes. I had to google them after I saw your roasting attempts a few posts further up [emoji3]

Hi Matt. Latest copy of AWR has an article on tool makers and had a photo of a lovely squirrel tail in timber. You probably have seen it but if not, more inspiration?
