For my tired eyes
G'day mates
somebody said:
"If you know something and did not tell it, its like you never knew it".
Yes, getting old and the eyes are not like 20~30 years ago and we have to use some "friends" to help us to see better.
I would like to show you some magnifying glasses (MG) that I made.
I a'm posting it in two posts because I have 8 pics.
The first one is MG to set the TS fence....Last edited by niki; 7th June 2006 at 08:01 AM.

The second MG is to set the saw blade or the router bit height.
If you have comments or improvements, please go ahead.

Nice work Niki, very nice.
Good idea, great execution too. And yer telling me you couldn't make a nice square the other day?
I might make some of these up myself. My eyes are still very good, but it never hurts to see better.

Glasses
Niki, I have to wear glasses to do my woodwork and they are a pain in the @&$ but you have enlightened me to doing things different. If I dont wear the glasses I have a problem seeing things in close which makes it impossible to do much without them.
Regards Mike

Hi Niki and everyone,
I have the same problem, and am always finding that my glasses fall off the end of my nose, blast it!
One helpful aid is this:
Being magnetic (rare earth magnet), it'll attach to most machine / ruler surfaces

Good one Niki, I've got one of those MG's that you use for reading, you know it does the whole page. I also paint minitures, combine the two and bingo, you gave me a great way to accomplish this and keep my hands free!....Shadup you lot!.. I know exactly what your thinking!...thanks Niki!.
