I wanna see a pic of that - I've been wondering how I could fit an SCMS in my little dog-box!!

Here is a picture (composite) from my web site. It was taken a fair while ago when it was clean and before installing my ducted DC, also before the thicknesser put on the table saw. Mental note - must update web site

The SCMS is on its stand, supported by brackets at either end made from SHS bolted to the sheds girts. The shelves are screwed to the girts at the back and supported by straps from the purlins at the front.

Neil How do you lift your SCMS down onto the bench and get it back on the shelf? They're heavy buggers.

nothing is so easy to do as when you figure out the impossible.

What's the purpose of the MDF wheel?

Yes they are. I wire it shut so it doesn't slide, then struggle the SCMS up and down, then lift the stand down. I move the table saw out of the way first.

I originally thought I would be able to rotate the stand off one bracket and balance it whilst I bent down the folding legs, then rotate off the other bracket and fold down the other legs. I only did it once, more fool me, almost dropped the lot. It is Ok to do it this way if there is another person to fold down the legs.

I can also use the SCMS where it is for the odd bit of straight cut. Not keen though for angled cuts. I also watch where I stand and ensure I'm out of the way for any kick backs.

Yep, also everything on wheels, except the lathe.

It has cutting compound on the sides and edge. Sharpens similar to a wet wheel, with the wheel turning away from the blade. Using the side it works like a sharpening stone.

We will have to get a video of Matthew doing a demo with his set up, I'm still learning.
