As a member of the Eltham Woodworking Club, we are currently getting ready to run this years CWC raffle. As per last year, tickets will be sent to all CWC registered clubs. We have not finalised prizes yet but I will keep you informed.
Could all clubs please start thinking about it and send me the details of the number of tickets required. Even if you don't want any tickets, it would be good to hear from you and save me the hassle of sending tickets out and you returning them. Last year we made a guess of how many tickets to send to each club. For obvious reasons, I can only send tickets to the CWC registered club address.

The raffle can be a means of raising money for YOUR club. The tickets cost $2.00 each and your club keeps $1.00 per ticket sold and returns the other $1.00. Of the dollar returned, the Eltham Woodworking club keeps 20 cents (to cover expenses) and the remaining 80 cents goes to the CWC. Please keep in mind that Eltham pays for postage of tickets, arranges all prizes and does all of the hack work.
For those clubs who can attend the Wood Working Shows in your areas, this can be a money spinner for your club. At Eltham we pass the tickets around at our monthly meetings for members to purchase. We may have 50 to 70 members attending, not everyone buys a ticket every meeting but some people may have purchased several tickets before the raffle is drawn.
