    Default Woodcraft show Geelong

Barwon Valley Woodwrights will be holding their annual woodcraft show on the weekend of the 26th & 27th of November.
It will be held in the hall of The Masonic Centre, 25 Regent St, Belmont between 10:00am & 4:00pm daily.
There will be the usual display of member's work as well as items for sale, so a good time to stock up for Christmas if you see something that is not normally your discipline.
For those who frequent the Toymaking forum you may have followed the build of Keith's locomotive. We will have it on display for the weekend for all to marvel over.
There will be ongoing demonstrations of Turning, Scroll Sawing, Carving, Pyrography etc. Other demonstrations will put on at different times during the day.
We will have vendors selling their wares including timber, pen blanks & knife scales, Japanese hand tools, Screw-It-Screws.
The children will be catered for with free toy kits for them to make up.
But don't leave the ladies home as we will also have exhibitions from Lace Makers, the Bead Society, and Spinners & Weavers Guild.
Come with empty stomachs as we will have our famous Devonshire teas available to purchase.
Look forward to seeing you there.
    Dallas

Here you go Crowie. Some photos from today.
Numbers through the door were down a bit due to major conflicting events around the town, but the sales figures were good.
We will see how tomorrow goes.

Thanks Dallas .... good to see some old faces. Hand tools sales and timber are a good addition to the show and should help attract other woodies.

It was great to see a number of people who had traveled considerable distances to be at our Exhibition. I trust they found their trip worthwhile.
    Some more photos from today.

The kitchen was a hive of activity producing hundreds of Devonshire teas.

Unfortunately I neglected to get any closeup photos of items on the "display only" table which contained many exquisite items which should have been shown in detail.
