Default High Figured Blackwood on the 1/4

Hi, I am looking for some highly figured Blackwood that has been sawn right on the quarter. The board size I am after must be min 225 (250 is better) x 25 (50 is better) x 1500.

It is important that it be 1/4 sawn as I intend to resaw into back and side sets for acoustic guitars I am building for my family.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

    Kim

    Larkim,

Quarter sawn stock always good if you can get it but for backs and sides it's not as critical as for a top. I dont know youre experience so if you already know this then ignore the rest of my post.

Unless youre dead set on going quarter sawn you may find near quarter sawn will do just as good a job. Might be a bit cheaper too.

Throw up some pics of the instruments on the forum when you finish for all to see.

    Cheers Martin
