    Default What Code Footy

    Hi All

Thought I would start a poll to see what code of footy is the go according to forum members.. I know something has been done in terms of AFL teams with a short bynote for other codes including the Ubuet Axe murders Club.

Edit for those of you who who are commenting that there should be a DO NOT CARE use the FOOTBALL Whats That? option in my attempts at being a little lite hearted I have apperently caused some confusion..

Because footy code conversations can become somewhat heated I am going to attempt to not make this a public poll to protect those who participate especially those who ask the question "Football? whats that??" as I have discovered this can be considered treason in certain communities within Australia and can cause family problems, blemish your social prospects and employability if it becomes public knowledge

That said feel free to post your comments on footy codes though..

I went "other" 'cos there's no way I'll dignify the AFL by including it with VFL!

Noiw AFL/WWF I could understand... and still not vote for.

Oooppss I voted football I didn't read the what's that? on the end . You should have a football option not soccer that's the american word for it and of course it is the only game where you actually use your feet and not your hands so is the only type of football, with more particpiants than all the other codes put together.

I was born is Adelaide - AFL (Carn the Crows)
I played Rugby (Union) as a kid in Sydney (Gordon - carn the Highlanders) and went to Sydney Uni (Yooooooneee)
I lived three years in SW London - (Chelsea - Blue, Blue, Blue)
My cousin plays for the Pittsburg Steelers and won a superbowl ring last year.

Basically, just an average Aussie male....

Just as well they are all on television and you can vote for more than one code.....

I have never even heard of that first option. Is that a new game?

If you object to "Football what's that" because you know what it is and because of the poor craftsmanship in the design of this poll (for which you have my non-consequential, insincere and shallow apologies) and you desperately feel the need and desire please use the "Other" option then elaborate with a post regaling us with a real or imagined esoteric code of football.. you know one of those games where people run around an oval chasing an over inflated animals bladder..

You will also notice that I used AFL or VFL (and sorry to all of those i have offended (Skew ChiDAMN!!) by placing them in the same section.. I was tempted to use the term Aerial Ping Pong but did not think it worth the risk of being hunted down strapped to a chair and forced to watch every single video or DVD made for all and any game played in Australia with my eyes taped open.. didn't think it was worth the risk

HappyHammer I steered away from having a FOOTBALL option because each code being the perocial mob that they are, are convinced that theirs is the only code the term football should be used with... though if we are going by the majority of world population i would be forced to agree with you

(:eekops think i just let out my opinion of football there goes any chance I had at a career anywhere in Australia or it territories or NZ, or UK, or US, or .......:eek

'Tis a fair description of AFL... but say that to any country league players or face-to-face with ol' blood'n'guts Dyer and I think being strapped to a chair would be the least of yer worries...

    Default Footy

I followed leauge for years until super leauge came into play and then the steelers became part of the dragons so I switched to union and have never looked back. IMHO I think union to be a better flowing game than its leauge counter part. I'm sure other will beg to differ but that's what the forum is all about as we get together and dicuss things.
