    G'day miss-hip-chick,

Welcome my duaghter, welcome to the machine.

Don't worry, soon enough you'll find out about the section - it's the falling in love with handplanes and what they do and pics of what others have by way of handplanes, or looking at pics of what others have stored away in their sheds. Hmmmm, .
I make things, I just take a long time.

    Hi and Welcome Miss-hip-chick

As Waldo said, our pics are tool and wood pics

I started out like you, a coffee table or two, some picture frames and thanks to this forum, it's members and the support they have given me, my skills have improved out of sight.

Good luck with your bunk bed project - love to see some pictures.

    cheers
    Wendy

I'm changing my vote to NO. We drove Gumby out. Disgraceful.:mad:
Its a bloody woodwork forum primarily and too many seem to have forgotten it.

    Hi all

    In answer to your question;

Yes I have found this a very welcomming forum.

The wealth of information and favours given are extremely helpful to a newbie.

I have also learnt that sometimes you must clarify your intentions and perhaps your budget. Some of have very little in the way of woodworking machinery.

All in all an excellent forum.

    Thanks Neil and co.

G'day everyone, just thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm a long time looker, first time poster and let me say this is a very informative forum with everyone contributing their useful opinions.
Like I always say it doesn't matter how much you think you know someone will always know more about a particular subject.

Anyway I look forward to the many posts ahead of me.

I am a plasterer and hang around the plastering/painting/tiling forum. I just love this forum. There are just so many people on here with genuine problems that are looking for help. I am a plasterer by trade and love nothing more than helping people with plastering questions. I will be here for a long while I think.

It is a great place to hang out.

    Cheers

By the same token there are many many cruel and venal people here. But that's part of the attraction.

Only when you get to know 'em. They're still welcoming at the beginning...
