If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Don't know how much of QLD news you foreigners get but there is talk about Brisvegas residents going on to level 5 restrictions (which by the way are nowhere near toowoomba's level 5). It was amazing how so many people were complaining about how unfair the restrictions were and some groups even mentioned suing the state government for compensation if level 5 comes in.

What a complete bunch of self centred fools. Yeah lets complain about not being able to have all the water you want. Keep it up and you'll run out!!

We're pretty serious here, especially when the tank is low. We have mains water but have only ever had to pay one water bill in four years. We still have to remind the kids that it is good manners to flush after a wee at other people's places!

Grey water goes onto trees and ornamentals, the lawn is otherwise allowed to get crispy in summer (less mowing - yay!) and bounces back with Autumn/winter rains. Which will arrive tomorrow, because today a lovely bunch of Tibetan Buddhist monks are doing a special sand mandala dissolution ceremony to bring blessings and rain to our region. (Also, the weather man said.)
We'll all be whingeing about the floods next week, no doubt.

Never heard of a garden trowel? You do need to watch your step when you have visitors who don't know how to "flush" with one though.

It's also a damned good incentive to weed out the thistles...

We are fortunate here in southern Tas. I have 4 tanks each holding 3500 gallons. We have nor problems with water. Buyinh the extrea 2 tanks about 3 years ago was a real good decision. Some folk down here with just one tank are buying water on a regular basis. I am also fortunate to have borewater avilable for my vegetable garden and other plants. We have a septic system and that waste goes to the front paddock which is always green and needs lots of mowing. You guys on the mainland have my sympathy. I do believe this drought is over and you should be back in the swim (so to speak) soon. However, I do believe we need to have a hard look at how we use water and what we use it on. Recycled water is OK. Europe has been using it for a long time and they are still around. The media and some s#$%t stirrers want to create devisions amongst us just be be smart alecks. We need to listen to real scientist to understand the value of recycled water. It is a finite reaource and needs to be managed well. And I don't mean for the profit of some. Costs do have to be covered but it should not be run on ther basis of the guy with the most money gets the water. You know what I mean.
If you can do it - Do it! If you can't do it - Try it!
    Do both well!
