    Default Guess what timber this is #2

    This time I have photos of 2 different types of wood.

    The second is a type of burl.

    Guess what timber it is.

    Clues will follow.

    Photos should be acceptable.

    5th photo is a closeup of the burl

    Start guessing everybody.

    Never heard of "misplaced timber",

    And no neither of them are in the cedar family.

    The burl you may have turned before Stirlo.

    right, I got a guess by PM--bubinga. So here is the next clue.

    They are both Australian species. One is a Western australian species, and one is a Queenslander. So this time you Smart Queenslanders, you aint got no excuse(ave they Mr. Dingo.

    Okay just to move the clues closer heres one guess of the top of me noggin so bound to be totally wrong

    1) Banksia
    2) Quandong

    So now theres only 2 more guesses to go till the next clue!!

    Jarrah Burl
    bull oak?
    rock sheoak
    dwarf sheoak
    slaty sheoak

    I have had many PM's, with people sending in their guesses. That is why there are some more.

    We have one guessed correctly by Wild Dingo.
    The burl is Banksia Burl.

    We have one more block of timber left.

    And the next clue is.

    It is in the Silky oak family.

    If you can see the photos properly, you will see it has a silky oak like grain.
