    Default OF 1400 Edge Guide

    Hi All,

does anyone know where I can get the Edge guide for the OF1400. I believe the product code is 492636, but they only seem to appear on the US websites. Any idea how much it will roughly cost?

    Thanks

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

I am not convinced that part (492636) is really for the OF1400. It looks like it is for one of the OF900/1000/1010 routers. Having a close look at the image it is branded "FESTO", indicating the date or original release. Any component for the OF1400 will be branded "FESTOOL".

See image of what the OF1400 fence should look like.

Tom, shop local then no probs dealing with the issue besides I don't think Festool allow shipment of Festool products off-shore.

You won't go wrong with Anthony (nt900) who always treat folk right hes good to deal with.

    Cheers

The part number is correct but the image shown on the Festool USA site is not correct (it's the OF1010 and part of the older model OF1000 edge guide). I searched the Festool Germany and Australia sites but didn't find anything on the OF1400 edge guide. Could be it's only sold in the US.

John is right, US Festool dealers aren't allowed to ship internationally.

Reviving an old thread, but does anyone know or can confirm if the OF1400 guide fence (part No: 492636) is the same as the guide fence for the OF2200 router (part No: 494680). They look suspiciously alike and it would appear after a quick search that the OF2200 fence would be easier to source and buy than another OF1400 fence.

    Hi T.C.

I can confirm they OF1400 guide fence and the OF2200 guide fence are not the same. One difference is the spacing of the rods that connect the fence to the router. The OF2200 takes larger diameter router bits and has a larger aperture in the router base, therefore the rods that pass through the base on the outside of the aperture are spaced differently. This is reflected in the guide fences. There are other differences also related to the position of the rods. But both guide fences are easy enough to source.

Thanks Anthony. I'll track down the right one now.
