What can I say - did the Ideal Tools Domino course, then the Hall Table course, and found I couldn't live without one.

FWIW, elsewhere in the picture is the Festool RAS115 (coined "The Termite" by Festool) - a wood removing tool that in some circumstances can out-perform an Arbortech blade for stock removal, A Festool Autochanger Screwdriver (Lignum's new love), and a (stocked) Cooltainer.

I was also using the OF1400 on the weekend - that is one nice handheld router! (No, don't have one yet).

My real act of sacrilege is that I don't have any Festool dust extraction, so the Domino is going to be plugged into a GMC Shop Vac!!!

My Domino is connected to a Pullman vac from Godfreys. Does the job.

Aldi vac here. It's the tool you use, not what you suck with.

Stu, FWIW, my experience is that generally you do not need a Festool extractor. For anything other than sanding a normal extractor and adaptor is fine (wear a mask). However, for sanding it is a good idea to have a variable speed vac as the full speed on some vacs causes the sandpaper to stick to the workpiece. The finer the paper the less suction required.

I have an Aldi $70 unit that works really well but does not have variable speed. It also has the tool start feature which I find very handy.

Stuart, I don't have a Festool DE either. I simply use my shop vac. I can show you how the hose fits if you like.

One more thing. There is no need to have those silly little stickers to remind yourself to add 0.5mm to the left on the scale every time you make a cut.

Stu, welcome to the dark side of electric/electronic tools. It is one serious slippery slope. Don't say you were not warned. The OF1400 is one fantastic router. The dust collection for that and the sander and the TS55 and the Domino is fantastic. Oh, ... did I mention how great the T15+3 drill is . I do use the CT22 vac though. Enjoy the precision. (This tells of my entire Festool collection which is way too small)
