Default 90 Degree Guide Rail Square

I see that Festool have introduced this item. I am sure that it was a 3rd party accessory not so long ago. Good move tho. I might just buy one now without the shipping hassle.

Looks like a direct copy of TSO's GRS-16PE at half the price. I hope they gave TSO some money!

Just noticed the TSO stamp of the fastening clip. My guess is it is being sold under license from TSO just like some of their other products such as the Fein multimaster equivalent which is manufactured by Fein.

Yes, Hans at TSO products has confirmed that it’s a TSO guide rail square with Festool branding. They’re also definitely being compensated for it.

I'm actually glad to hear that - with Festool's reputation it would be hard to imagine otherwise, but there's a lot of IP theft going on nowadays, and unfortunately, to try and avoid inadvertently supporting it, a lot of research is required

Yep, I got the email 1 day after purchasing a TSO from Sydney Tools for $330. Tried to cancel (to save the $130) but was too late.

    Oh well..

That's the problem with Sydney tools. Total Tools will do change-of-mind returns

Fortunately, I got the email from Festool, logged in and bought one. Arrived today, fantastic.

    And reasonably priced! Amazing.

I had decided to buy a TSO a couple of times, but each time was an out of stock.. then I heard the rumour, and waited, waited...

Mine is on the way according to Aussie post. Not sure where it is between Melbourne and Perth. Interesting one of our premium Festool dealers here did not even know about the item.

Would be interesting to compare the original TSO with the festool version. If anyone near Newcastle gets one, I have TSO's - let's do an appropriately socially-distanced side-by-side!

The comparison is easy.. they're the same product. Identical in every way.

Hi, I have been reliably informed that Festool have purchased TSO. Apparently the geniuses at Wendlingen were upset at not having such effective yet simple products.

I ordered one 2 months ago. I get an email every week to remind me its on back order with a revised expected date of arrival. Oneday maybe?

I spoke to a Festool demonstrator last week. She said that the first batch was only 44 of which some went to the demonstrators. I got in early. Even the premium dealer close to me could not get any.
