One for Anthony
OK not Festool but Fein but the question is being asked by a Festool nutter so needs someone who understands the species!
Multimaster or Supercut?
For house renos so will be put to work in many different areas from grout removal, flooring to sanding bits I can't get the LS 130 into. All the usual things that come up to surprise you.
What's the difference between the two if you have the adaptor for the multimaster bits?

"Species" I like that
Now the MultiMaster has gone through a recent upgrade it's hard to argue for the SuperCut as the MultiMaster has picked up some nice improvements:
- Larger oscillating stroke
- Star pattern arbor
- QuickIN quick change of accessories.
So for general renovation work the MutliMaster is the way to go. Unless... you are going to do a lot of degrouting then the SuperCut has the advantage due to its range of accessories for grout removal. The special shaped diamond 'blades' get closer the edge of an area and other tight spaces. And thy come in 2.2 and 1.2mm widths. The MultiMaster degrouting blades (round and segment) are only 2.2mm wide, so can't get into thin grout lines.
So unless these grout specific accessories are required, go for a MultiMaster and put the difference in $ towards blades and accessories as you need them. The MultiMaster is a great machine to have handy. Ad for reno work, the bi-metal E-Cut baldes are a must - before they were available I would go through a small fortune hitting nails with the Wood only E-Cut blades.
Note: The SuperCut comes with an adaptor to fit MultiMaster accessories, but the MultiMaster has no such adaptor for SuperCut accessories.
The Festool extractors hose nozzle fits the MultiMaster extractor port no problem.
