I just bought and returned a Bosch *Professional* "Glide" saw. It was made in China, the table was out of level. Just waiting on a Kapex to turn up in Port Macquarie. Twice the price but with some luck it will be twice the quality.

They are, and then some. I’ve had two Kapex saws, the first one developed a problem after 6 years and Festool replaced it free of charge, the replacement is still cutting perfectly, every day, for 9 or 10 years. I had a guy working for me turned up with a bosch glide, after two weeks of using both saws, he sold it and bought a Kapex. I’ve had several other brands, Theyre the best saw, it will take 12 months of using it to really appreciate the features and how they integrate into your work. I suggest buying the wheel trolley and the side wings with the stops, it’s made a great tool even better. All the best.

Thanks River, I was bitterly disappointed in the Bosch. The table was .013" out of level with the side supports. My $99.00 Ryobi 1+ is dead flat across the table. Time to stop stuffing around and buy something decent. The Bosch was also incredibly heavy and awkward for an old bloke to try and move around. I hate to think of the problems using it as a site saw, even for a fit young bloke, especially if there were steps involved.

Definitely love it (the Kapex) and also love the Bosch "Gravity Rise" folding wheeled stand that I bought for the Glide saw. With the Kapex I don't need to worry about shoulder damage when I have to tilt the saw for bevel cuts and the big, easy to read bevel scale will ne a blessing, that is for certain! The difference between the Bosch Glide that I sent back (which could have been the "one-in-aa=million dud) and the Kapex are like chalk and cheese.
