There are lot of variables in servicing, but feedback from you guys is very important. Make sure you go to festool.com.au and make sure they know of what happend with the ct26 so they can log it & avoid it happening again

Picked up the sander this morning. No explanation given as to why it took till Monday to order the parts. Once again the aloof and pretentious outlook of this stores staff amazes me. Spoke to me in a fashion that I am somehow privileged to do business with them. I'm not sure that I am impressed with the red paint that they managed to get on the casing of the machine.
Pretty crap all over I reckon.

Nah Jim, I won't be giving anyone a serve, not my style anymore. I figure that since I have had an at length conversation with TOOLTECHNIC SYSTEMS and have given them detailed info as to what has happened, it will be dealt with, or not, by them. Life is far too short to get hot under the collar about stuff that is not worth worrying about. I will vote with my feet and my wallet.
It must be said that I am very impressed with the service from FESTOOL. From the monday the parts were ordered by the dealer to ready for collection the following monday is not bad considering the parts are coming from Germany. Whether or not those parts should have been available in Australia at the time is a bit of a moot point that I don't wish to get into. I have had quite a deal of experience with logistics, maintenance spare parts and international air freight. As a result, I have my own views which may vary from an inventory control and accounting view.
The paint issue is just the icing on the cake that to me reinforces my previously formed decision to not deal with this particular shop again. There are others who can service my needs.
Others can decide for themselves, it's not hard to work out which dealer I am referring to, but I shall not name them on here.

I've been finding that repairs are taking longer and longer. I returned a 2 year old protool battery that stopped working three weeks ago and a replacement still hasn't been sent up to ballarat.
I'm going to be buying a bunch of new tools soon for a new company that I'm starting and I was going to go almost all festool/protool but I'm getting a little nervous about that decision. I'm happy with their capabilities but their durability and in particular their serviceability is giving me second thoughts.

This is not a normal scenario with Festool for warranties, there is usually a 72hr turn around pending parts. As a warranty agent we have to have the tool actioned within a day minimum. Festool is one of the best for when they are out of stock of a part as they will air freight parts within 5-10 working days, alot of the other suppliers will wait to fill a pallet or container shipment before they order parts & average 20-50days.
I will private message you my details so i can try resolve your matter for you
