    Default Domino in southern Tas

Been on my wish list for a long time but still not sure I can justify it ... even to myself! (and that's the easy bit)

So looking for a local expert who would be willing for me to have a play with theirs (under instruction). Happy to pay for your time and materials and maybe a beer/coffee or two.

The current project would be perfect (least I think so) - making an outdoor table top out of jarrah - about 40 odd 45mm wide slats to be jointed with 3mm gaps - with my dowelling 'skills' any inaccuracy is as plain as day when those gaps are not even.

Any takers? Send me a pm.

Just thought I'd mention, I've got the help I was after (thanks Pete) and will post the results of our labour in early Jan ... at which time I anticipate I may well have a serious case of Dominoitis!

    Is it "early Jan" yet?

A few things got in the way but the Xmas present ... will be delivered tomorrow!

The Domino? I think it may be a while - two reasons - 1. I don't think I have enough use for one right now (thinking about building another house or two before anything more like real joinery) and 2. It isn't quite idiot proof enough yet (I'm still looking for a tool that is!!)

Thanks a again Pete - no part of the extensive delay in finally putting the bits together, the 'features' that didn't appear in the original design (practising saying, "oh I meant to do that!" or the idiot operator factor (just me) should take away from Pete's very generous offer of his time and machine.
