    Default DX 93-E arrived yesterday

SWMBO has an old desk and chair set that she used as a small girl, so it has great sentimental value. The cane seat on the chair finally gave up and so I decided to refinish the whole thing. I quickly realised I would need a decent detail sander for the small, narrow bits so ordered the DX93 which arrived yesterday.

Preliminary testing on another project indicates that it will be the duck's guts. I think it will get used more than I had originally anticipated.

It came with the soft pad and the slat (flat) pad. Anyone used the hard pad? And will it help in controlling the tendency to round over edges?
    Cheers,

    Bob

I often use my hard pad on my rotex for just th same purpose: To prevent rounding the edges (which already happens with a medium pad).

I'm very curious how the 93dx performes. I've never had a good experience with small delta sanders (never used a Festool though).
