Factory mitre cut accuracy and mitre joints
Hi , I have just posted a thread here which asks how to cut an exact mitre with an SCMS.
In my case I have the Festool KAPEX 120, which has the factory accuracy of 0.16 degrees for its mitre angle cuts.
If cutting a mitre for a picture frame with a SCMS cutting 45.16 deg, I find that this is not accurate enough for a picture fame.
Can anyone with experience in this please contribute to my original thread?regards,
Dengy

A sharp block plane? The way I did all my miters before buying my first scms after arriving in australia. ( cut with handsaw and dressed with scary sharp block plane.)
I would have thought a guillotine would have been more suited to your usage though.
