Default Anyone been to Festool Factory???

Her indoors and I are going to Europe in August and I would like to see the factory where my Kapex was made. (I am also hoping that Festool will be so impressed that I travelled so far to see them that they will give me one of everything they make and ship it home.

Has anyone seen inside the Festool factory in Wendlingden? Do they have tours there? What is the best way to get there? etc., etc.

I have been to the factory on several occasions which is an amazing experience to see the technology they have engineered to run the product plant.

Unfortunately it is quite difficult to get in there and normally it is only staff or dealer groups that have access.

    Sorry we can help,

I was lucky to go with the other festool premium shop dealers of Australia, it was an amazing experience to see the technology & festool philosophies. It was great to see how the tools wereade & tested, equally impressive was the fact that over 60% of the assembly staff was female....it would be great for festool to maybe give an end user the chance to experience also

I'm afraid not. Wendlingen is near Stuttgart in southern Germany. Paschendaele is near Ypres (Ieper) in western Belgium. They're about 700km apart.
Ypres is well worth the visit, especially to see the Menin Gate and hear the Last Post there.

    Agree

I've been there, that is why I was suggesting the OP visit there.

if near Stuttgart, the OP might like to see if they can visit one of the car plants

Default Sounds like another famous factory

I recall another factory that was only open to their staff.
One day they decided to let five children and their parents through. All they had to do was find a golden ticket inside a Wonka bar.
